Our love affair with Great Danes started long ago. Since I was a child, Danes were always my favorite breed. They have this handsome, regal appearance. Tall yet well muscled and athletic. Aristocratic. Noble. Those were my first thoughts of the Great Dane breed. They hold their head high demanding respect and protect their family with their lives. While all of that is true, they are also a lot of fun, loving, child like and clownish.

While we had Danes in the past as pets, Skylar was our first pedigreed puppy.
Skylar is such a good girl. We can leave her in the morning and she will sleep all day in her favorite spot on the couch. She is a beautiful girl and comes from a great pedigree. She is also a big girl, standing just over 34" at the shoulder and 140 lbs.

When Skylar turned two years old, she was health tested, evaluated and then bred with the very handsome and well respected Tonka. "MsBehavin' Tanner's Tonka Toy" whom truly stands out from the crowd.
We chose this line for their longevity, health and temperament. Not to mention that Tonka also has a wonderful pedigree. He is a striking fawn male that I will always be thankful for he and his owner for helping us create our line.Tonka is an amazing sire and a quite accomplished show dog. He is now retired and recently celebrated his eleventh birthday!
"Griner's M.V.P. MsBehavin' Big Montana" He is named after his father's favorite roast beef sandwich! He is now only 23 months old and developing into such a nice gentleman. We have high hopes for him as he will continue on this amazing bloodline. He is such a sweetheart! He currently has passed his CERF, OFA (cardiac & thyroid) with normal/clear ratings, and a pre-lim OFA for his hips with a GOOD rating. Official OFA (hips and elbows) will be completed in the fall of 2010. He is currently at 36" at the withers and 165 lbs.
We try to help our fellow Dane lovers and offer help to anyone who asks for it. We try our best to answer emails within 24 hours. If you have any Dane questions, please feel free to ask. We can point you in the right direction of a breeder if you are looking for the perfect pup.

This is one of one of those pictures that always makes me laugh. Here is Montana at 7 weeks sitting in the food bowl.
